Botanical pigment transfer art
Each work begins with botanical pigment transfers, created by pressing cultivated flowers to release their natural dyes directly onto the canvas. These impressions form an unpredictable, organic base that I build upon with paint, discovering the form of each flower as I work. The result is a dialogue between the raw material of the plant and my interpretation of nature as both an artist and gardener.
